Rob Baron

— President and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Baron joined Marcal in 2014 and serves today as President and CEO. Before becoming CEO of Marcal in May 2015, Mr. Baron served as Senior Vice President, Strategy for Marcal. From 2012-2014, Mr. Baron served as Vice President Finance & Chief Financial Officer for Finch Paper Holdings LLC. Prior to joining Finch Paper, from 2006-2012, Mr. Baron held several senior leadership positions with Furniture Brands International, including Vice President, Finance, Lane & Broyhill Furniture, VP, Financial Planning & Analysis and Vice President & Chief Financial Officer, Thomasville Furniture Industries. From 2001-2005 Mr. Baron held various financial roles at IBM. Mr. Baron holds a B.S., Civil Engineering and MBA from University of Notre Dame and a Masters, Industrial Engineering, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Scott Dicus

— Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Dicus joined Marcal in 2017 and serves today as Chief Financial Officer.

From 2010-2017 Mr. Dicus was a Managing Director at Argus Management, a turnaround interim management firm serving in a variety of senior management finance roles. In these engagements, Mr. Dicus advised companies on debt restructurings, asset divestitures, and liquidity management. Prior to joining Argus Management, Mr. Dicus held various roles at CCMP Capital, primarily responsible for evaluating and executing transactions in industrial, healthcare and media investments. Mr. Dicus holds a B.S. in Finance from Lehigh University and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Stacy Lee

—Vice President of Operations

Mr. Lee joined Marcal in July, 2020 as the Vice President of Operations.  Before becoming VP of Marcal, Mr. Lee served as Mill Manager for Kimberly Clark at the Marinette, WI facility.  Mr. Lee has over 30 years of experience working across the United States in various Engineering and Production Management roles including companies such as Champion International, International Paper, Weyerhaeuser Company, Boise Inc., MeadWestvaco, and Graphic Packaging International.  Mr. Lee has experience in the manufacture of towel, tissue, coated free-sheet, uncoated free-sheet, coated groundwood, unbleached coated board, bleached coated board, linerboard and medium.  Mr. Lee holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Pulp and Paper Science and Technology from North Carolina State University and a M.S. and Ph.D. in Pulp and Paper Science and Technology from the Institute of Paper Science and Technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology.

Brian Gauthier

— General Manager, Marcal Vermont

Mr. Gauthier joined Marcal in 2013 with the acquisition of Putney Paper Company and currently serves as General Manager of Marcal Vermont. Prior to becoming General Manager, Mr. Gauthier served as Production Manager and Environmental Manager. Before joining, Mr. Gauthier was employed by Putney Paper as Environmental Manager from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, Mr. Gauthier worked for Rochester Midland Corporation’s Pulp and Paper Division from 2000-2012 servicing and selling specialty chemicals to the Pulp and Paper industry. Mr. Gauthier holds an AS in Environmental Technology from Springfield Technical Community College.

Matt Goodling

—Director, Corporate Development

Mr. Goodling joined Marcal in 2019 and serves today as Director of Corporate Development. Prior to joining Marcal, Mr. Goodling held several roles at Atlas Holdings LLC from 2014 – 2019 where he served in various restructuring and senior finance positions in addition to evaluating and executing distressed investment opportunities. Prior to joining Atlas, Mr. Goodling was a Corporate and Investment Banking Portfolio Management Analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey where he supported the underwriting and management of a billion dollar corporate loan portfolio. Mr. Goodling holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Richmond.
